This strategic shift moves the foundation away from regularly selling ETH to fund operations toward earning staking yield of an estimated $3.9-5.4 million annually. The foundation is now earning rewards that help fund research, grants, and operations without needing to sell coins, replacing the earlier model where ETH sales weighed on valuations.
